Audition Opportunities
Tim Bray Theatre Company (TBTC) holds auditions for each of its shows and welcomes trained and professional performers and musicians of all ethnicities, sexuality, gender identities, abilities, and skill sets to audition for its mainstage shows. We welcome auditions by performers who are blind or visually impaired, D/deaf or hard of hearing, neurodivergent, disabled or with limited mobility.
As performers know, being a part of a mainstage show is a big commitment, not only for the performer but for their whānau. Rehearsals are usually Mondays to Fridays 9am – 5pm and into the early-mid evening during Production Week. Performances are usually held six days a week with two performances a day at 10.30am and 1pm, with a meet and greet of the audience immediately after the show. Very occasionally, a third performance may be held in a day for a fundraising performance or for filming for online videos.
We’re proud of the quality of productions we create, and the Tim Bray Theatre Company alumni is complemented with established and well-known performers as well as newly graduated performers. We are sure you will enjoy your time with us with memories that will last long after the spotlights have dimmed.
Auditions are held approximately six to eight weeks ahead of each production.
Our Youth Theatre programme also has regular opportunities for drama tutors. If you’d be interested in drama tutoring, please contact our Youth Theatre Manager by email on youth.theatre@timbray.org.nz
