Support Us

Tim Bray Theatre Company is a specialist Auckland theatre company creating world-class stage shows and Youth Theatre programmes for children and young people. We believe that theatre and creativity can be transformative, supporting the mental wellbeing of our tamariki and building their confidence.

Tim Bray Theatre Company is a registered charitable trust. The work we do is funded by  generous donations from individuals. We invite you to be part of our vision and support us through a donation. Together we can enrich the lives of children and young people through transformative arts experiences.

Monthly Giving

By donating as little as $25 a month, you directly drive the delivery of accessible theatre programmes for all young Kiwis, and ensure the regular income to support the future delivery of shows and workshops.

The money raised helps us cover our ongoing administration and overhead costs so that we can deliver our shows and, most importantly, our accessible performances.

This monthly direct debit is easy to set up and you can self-set a manageable sum. As we are a registered charitable trust, all contributions over $5 are eligible for a tax rebate.

The impact of your support will extend beyond the stage. It will enable us to welcome children from disadvantaged backgrounds and children with disabilities to revel in the magic of live theatre.

Oh behalf of the children, thank you for your support.

The vision you have carried for so long to not only bring wonderfully creative and imaginative theatre experiences to children in general, but to extend this experience to children who would normally not be able to access a show due to deprivation, severe illness or disability. Gift a Seat™ consistently brings them the magic and joy of theatre. It actually brings tears to my eyes when I think of your compassion for these precious ones.  I cannot emphasise enough the need to have Tim Bray Theatre Company continue this valuable work for the community – a most worthwhile and valuable charity to be a financial partner with. Gift a Seat™ requires such a small monthly commitment to bring a life changing experience to these children.”

Gift a Seat

Make a difference to children by letting them experience the joys of live theatre.

On the edge of their seats, these children are immersed: transported, joyful, fearful, anticipating, calling out, cheering. Precisely as intended, they are playing a part in the performance. Gift a Seat™  makes the world of children’s theatre accessible to everyone and inspires them through the love of the performing arts.

Individuals and companies have the unique opportunity to sponsor children from low decile schools, Ko Taku Reo Deaf Education for NZSL interpreted shows, BLENNZ (Blind and Low Vision Education Network of NZ) for Audio Described performances and families from Make-A-Wish (NZ) to come and attend our shows or participate in our Youth Theatre workshops and classes at no cost. Having an opportunity to experience live theatre is a life enriching experience some children will never have without Gift a Seat™.

“I think your charity is wonderful! We are very grateful for the 72 seats. Badjelly the Witch was, what I thought, an outstanding play. My favourite part was …. EVERYTHING”

Jessica, student at Ruapotaka School

“As a low decile school, our community would not have been able to afford this for our students so we are thrilled to be gifted tickets and are extremely grateful to those who sponsored them…Attending the show provided our children with an insight into another world and opened up a door to develop their own creativity and desire to perform”

Supergenerous

Supercharge your generosity

Did you know, if you donate $5 or more to Tim Bray Theatre Company you are eligible for a 33.33% donation rebate?

If you’re like us and struggle to get around to claiming your donation rebates, then you may also be excited by our partnership withKiwi social enterprise Supergenerous (formerly Fund a Future).

The Supergenerous online platform makes the donation rebate process hassle-free. They collect donation receipts from the charitable organisations you give to, manage the claiming process with the IRD and distribute the funds – saving you from manually managing the process yourself.

All you need to do is sign up via their website, give them your details and the names of the organisations you’ve donated to – and let them do the rest. You pay nothing upfront. If they successfully secure a donation rebate for you, they take a small fee of 10% + GST.

So why have we partnered with them? Because they give you the option to re-gift your rebate directly to charities like ours. There’s no pressure to do so, it’s just an easy way to make your original donation go a bit further and means the world to us.
